Striploin Steak with Peach Salsa

This easy marinated Ontario corn fed beef recipe is the perfect combination of sweet and savoury that’s sure to please.

Striploin Steak with Peach Salsa

Serves: 2-4 Cooking Time: 15 minutes


  • 2 Ontario Corn Fed Beef (AAA grade or Platinum) Striploin Grilling
  • Steaks - 1 inch thick
  • Salt and pepper
  • Marinade:
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) minced Ontario green onion
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) water
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves Ontario garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp (1 mL) salt
  • Peach Salsa:
  • 1½ cups (375 mL) finely diced fresh Ontario peaches
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) minced Ontario green onion
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 red serrano or red jalapeño pepper, seeded, finely chopped



Combine marinade ingredients. Place steaks and marinade in food-safe plastic bag; turn steak to coat. Close bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 6 hours or as long as overnight, turning occasionally.


Just before grilling steak, combine salsa ingredients in medium bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.


Remove steaks from marinade; discard marinade. Place steak on grill over medium heat. Grill, covered, about 10 to 11 minutes for medium rare (145°F) doneness, turning occasionally. (Do not overcook).


Carve steak into thin slices. Season with salt and pepper, as desired. Serve with peach salsa.


Marinating Time: 6 hours – 12 hours
